Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, firmly believes that Ghana has the potential to triumph in international competitions if the training sessions of the youth teams are aligned with the new football philosophy.

This assertion comes after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) recently announced that all of the country’s youth national teams will adopt a similar playing style through the effective implementation of the football DNA.

In a conversation with Citi Sports, Ogum expressed his unwavering confidence in Ghana’s ability to succeed on the global stage.

He emphasized the importance of proper development and how it can pave the way for effortless achievement.

“Of course. If we do the development well, trophies will come automatically. It will be effortless.

The development is like building a house. When you get the foundation right, the rest becomes relatively easier.

If we are able to get our developmental football well established, I think at the elite level it will be relatively easier for us to excel.”

By embracing a unified playing style through the implementation of the football DNA, Ghana aims to create a strong foundation for its future football stars, thus increasing the likelihood of achieving prestigious trophies and recognition on the global stage.

Ghana’s most recent significant football triumph came in the form of the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Mauritania.

The Black Satellites emerged victorious in the tournament under the guidance of Head Coach Abdul Karim Zito.
