Eric Bekoe Predicts Tactical Battle in Super Clash
Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe has shared his expectations for the upcoming Super Clash between arch-rivals Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, predicting a tactically driven encounter rather than one dictated by form.
The two most successful teams in Ghana will trade tackles at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday 15th December 2024.
In an interview with nkrataasem.com ahead of of the highly anticipated match, Bekoe noted that the clash could hinge on tactics than who has a good form and also which side takes the initiative early.
“I expect more of a tactical game than our normal traditional expectation of form guide,” Bekoe said. “It would be more of a trump card—who throws first.”
Bekoe, a star of Kotoko played for the Porcupines in the 2007/2008 season; scoring 17 goals in 23 games. He also became the “Goal King” (top scorer) of the One Touch Premier League and League Champion with Kotoko that season.
Asante Kotoko are seventh on the table with 18 points while Hearts of Oak are sixth with 19 points.
