Otto Addo Requests Expanded Backroom Staff to Bolster Black Stars’ Performance

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has appealed to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for an expanded backroom staff to improve team management and preparation for upcoming campaigns, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The request was made during a meeting with the GFA’s Executive Council, where Addo presented his review of the team’s unsuccessful bid to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Addo emphasized the importance of a well-structured and adequately staffed technical team to address the growing demands of international football.

The GFA is expected to evaluate Addo’s proposal as part of broader discussions on the future direction of the Black Stars, especially as the team prepares for crucial World Cup qualifying matches in the coming months.
