Emmanuel Owusu Demands Full Focus as Medeama Prepare for Aduana Showdown
Medeama SC midfielder Emmanuel Owusu has called on his teammates to maintain maximum concentration ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash with Aduana FC, warning that any slip-up could derail their title ambitions.
The Yellow and Mauves host Aduana FC in a Week 22 fixture on Friday, February 13, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30 pm at the TnA Stadium, in what is shaping up to be a pivotal encounter in the title race.
Owusu, who recently returned from a two-month injury spell, stressed the significance of the match for the club and its supporters, insisting that dropping points is not an option at this stage of the campaign.
“The game against Aduana FC is very important for us, the club president and the supporters as well. We can’t drop points again,” he said in an interview with Medi TV.
The midfielder also cautioned against underestimating their opponents, describing Aduana as a dangerous side capable of capitalising on any lapse in concentration.
“Aduana are a good side, so we can’t let our guard down, or they will punish us,” Owusu added.
Having fully recovered and included in Medeama’s matchday squad, Owusu will be eager to play a key role as his side pushes to consolidate their position at the top and strengthen their bid for the 2025/26 league crown.
