At Red Star, Annan made a further 19 appearances, playing a crucial role in helping the club secure both the Serbian SuperLiga title and the national cup. His consistent performances also earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team in 2024.

Speaking on his transfer, Annan said, “I am very happy to sign for AS Saint-Étienne. The club is building a good team, a great staff, and has enormous support from its fans. It is an honour to join this club. I will give my all in every match to help the team achieve its goals.”

ASSE head coach Eirik Horneland praised the new addition, stating, “Ebenezer is a powerful left-back who plays with a lot of volume. He has experience in pressure matches and international football. We can’t wait to start working with him.”
