Dramani Hails Hearts’ Tactical Discipline After Kotoko Win
Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has lauded his players for their composure and tactical maturity following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over rivals Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians made the trip to Kumasi for a tense Week 22 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where a first-half strike from Baba Adamu proved decisive in securing all three points. Despite being reduced to 10 men later in the match, Hearts of Oak held on to claim a crucial away victory.
Reflecting on the performance, Dramani highlighted his team’s preparation and game control, stressing that his players executed the game plan effectively despite the setback of a red card.
“We studied the team, we appreciated their strength and our strength. I think we controlled the game right from the beginning. We looked a bit destabilised when we had the red card, and then we needed to manage the situation at that moment. At halftime, we had the moment to structure,” Didi Dramani said.
The victory has propelled Hearts of Oak to third place on the Ghana Premier League table with 39 points, narrowing the gap to just five points behind leaders Medeama SC as the title race intensifies.
