Newly appointed Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has outlined his firm commitment to youth development as a cornerstone of his tenure, emphasizing the importance of creating a clear pathway for young talents to transition into the senior team.

Speaking during his official unveiling at the club’s secretariat in Accra on Monday, June 30, 2025, the seasoned tactician shared his vision for long-term growth and sustainable success at the Phobian club.

“Our goal is to establish vertical integration of youth players into the senior team,” Dramani stated. “I cannot do this work alone. I need others to come on board so we can collectively move Hearts of Oak into the next phase of its development.”

The former Asante Kotoko boss, who led the Porcupine Warriors to consecutive league titles in 2012 and 2013, signed a two-year contract with the Phobians, with the immediate assignment of preparing the team for the upcoming 2025 President’s Cup clash against his former side at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Dramani’s track record in youth development is well established, having previously served as Head of Football at the renowned Right to Dream Academy, where he was instrumental in grooming young prospects for international careers.

At Hearts, the 58-year-old is expected to replicate this model by linking the club’s academy and youth structures more directly with the senior setup, fostering continuity and a consistent playing identity.

The Accra-based giants are looking to bounce back after a trophyless 2024/25 campaign that saw them finish fourth in the Ghana Premier League and suffer an early exit from the MTN FA Cup in the round of 16.
