The 26-year-old defender has completed his medicals with giant’s Accra Hearts of Oak SC as the new season approaches.
With the Ghanaian having a successful medicals, means he inches closer to sealing a sensational switch to the Continental Club Masters. On Tuesday, the player held his medicals, expecting to put pen to paper in the coming days.
However, a two-year contract has being agreed by both parties.
Ampadu is joining Hearts of Oak on a free transfer following his departure from Legon Cities FC after ending ties in the 2023-24 league season.
He was courted by several clubs including Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Goldstars but the Ghana U-23 defender is an inch closer to joining Hearts of Oak.
His signing will strengthen the Phobians defence after losing Robert Addo Sowah and Konadu Yiadom.
Michael Ampadu became one of the best right-backs in the domestic league which earned him a call-up to the Ghana U23 national team in 2019.
He will be the latest addition to the side after the signing of Asekem FC trio Raphael Amponsah, Evans Adomako and Martin Karikari alongside Leventus Arthur and Kelvin Osei Asibey formerly of Techiman Eleven Wonders.
