Chris Yaovi Rallies Dreams FC Teammates to Stay Focused Despite Tough Start to Season
Dreams FC midfielder Chris Yaovi has called on his teammates to remain focused and resilient as they aim to recover from a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Dawu-based club, nicknamed the “Still Believe” side, has struggled to find form, recording four defeats and one draw in their first five matches. The poor run has left them languishing in 17th place on the 18-team league table.
Speaking to Dreams FC TV ahead of their upcoming clash with Nations FC, Yaovi expressed optimism about the team’s chances of bouncing back.
“Yeah, even though we didn’t start the league as expected, we are not putting our heads down. We are even focused more than the previous game and I think this coming Saturday we are coming out victorious,” he said confidently.
Despite their league struggles, Dreams FC recently earned a morale-boosting 3–1 victory over Sporting Club FC in a midweek friendly — a result that many fans hope will reignite the team’s confidence and rhythm ahead of the weekend fixture.
The club’s faithful remain optimistic that the victory will serve as a turning point as Dreams FC look to secure their first league win and begin climbing up the table.
With Nations FC also seeking consistency, Saturday’s encounter promises to be a defining moment for the Still Believe side as they aim to restore belief and momentum in their campaign.
