Spanish side RC Celta de Vigo have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian winger Bernard Somuah Sarpong from Asante Kotoko SC, handing the teenage forward a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.

The 19-year-old initially joined the Galician outfit on a loan-to-buy arrangement in August 2024, but his impressive development and consistent displays have convinced the club to activate his purchase option, making him a key part of their long-term sporting vision.

Somuah has enjoyed a rapid rise through Celta’s ranks. After settling in with the Juvenil A side, he earned promotion to Celta Fortuna.

Somuah’s impact has helped push Celta Fortuna into second place on the league table with 48 points, keeping the reserve side firmly in contention for promotion.

The permanent transfer marks a major milestone in Somuah’s young career and underlines Celta Vigo’s confidence in his potential as they continue to invest in emerging talent for the future.
