Carlos Queiroz has officially arrived in Ghana to assume control of the senior national team, stepping into the role at a pivotal stage as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced tactician touched down in Accra on Wednesday, April 22, marking the start of a short but crucial assignment aimed at reshaping the Black Stars ahead of the global showpiece in June.

An official unveiling has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23, at the Alisa Hotel, where the former Real Madrid assistant is expected to present his vision, outline immediate priorities, and engage the media for the first time since his appointment.

The Ghana Football Association has handed Queiroz a four-month deal, underlining a clear focus on immediate results as expectations rise for a strong World Cup showing.

He will be supported by his long-time collaborator Roger De Sa, alongside additional technical staff, forming a backroom team with significant international experience.

Queiroz takes over from Otto Addo, whose tenure ended following a series of disappointing results in recent international friendlies.

With Ghana drawn in a competitive Group L, the task ahead is clear: restore confidence, sharpen performance levels, and position the Black Stars to compete effectively on football’s biggest stage.
