Newly appointed Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has made a passionate appeal for national unity as he begins his tenure with the senior national team, stressing that collective support will be key to achieving success.

Speaking during his official unveiling in Accra on Thursday, April 23, the experienced Portuguese tactician highlighted the importance of cohesion across all stakeholders, from administrators to supporters, as Ghana prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“I trust, and I believe that, with the support of my staff, the support of the Board, support of the press, support of the friends and the fans, ultimately, one Ghana, united with cohesion with the whole of the nation, I believe we can do it. We can bring success,” he said.

Queiroz, who has taken charge on a short-term contract, emphasised that building a strong sense of togetherness around the team will be essential in navigating the challenges ahead.

“Let us do it together,” he added.

The 73-year-old assumes responsibility at a crucial period, with expectations high for the Black Stars to deliver an improved showing on the global stage. His message sets the tone for a campaign built on unity, discipline, and shared ambition as Ghana seeks to make a meaningful impact at the World Cup.
