Thai League powerhouse Buriram United have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Ghanaian winger Kingsley Schindler, marking another major addition ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The experienced wide man joins the Thunder Castles on a free transfer after parting ways with Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor, where he played a key role during the club’s impressive third-place finish last season.

Schindler’s arrival is expected to add speed, creativity, and versatility to Buriram’s attacking setup as they prepare to defend their domestic titles and push for continental glory.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, the 31-year-old developed through the youth ranks of Hannover 96 and Hoffenheim before earning his professional breakthrough with Holstein Kiel in 2016. During his four-year stay at the club, he amassed 34 goals and 22 assists in 101 appearances, becoming one of the most productive players in the German second tier.

His consistency earned him a move to Bundesliga side FC Cologne in 2019, where he featured 70 times, scoring two goals and providing nine assists across all competitions.

In 2023, Schindler took his talents to Turkey, joining Samsunspor. Over two seasons, he made 56 appearances, netting three goals and delivering three assists, showcasing his reliability and work ethic on both flanks.

At the international level, Schindler debuted for the Ghana Black Stars in 2023 and has since earned eight caps, registering one assist for the national team.

Buriram United confirmed that the Ghanaian international will don the number 19 jersey, with club officials expressing confidence in his ability to make an immediate impact.

With the new campaign set to kick off later this month, Schindler’s addition provides a timely boost to Buriram United’s title defense and their aspirations on the continental stage.
