SkyBet Championship side, Leicester City FC have completed the acquisition of Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku on a loan deal.

The left-footed attacker has switched camp for a season-long loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. He’s deal is subject to league and international clearance.

Fatawu, 19, having struggled with first team playing time at Lisbon has moved for game time with the relegated English club. He impressed in few times when he had the opportunity to play for the senior team but seems he needs confidence elsewhere.

Fatawu said this to Leicester City website after completing move: “I’m so happy. This is an amazing moment for me, I’m happy to be here. For me, from looking at Leicester and how I felt about the coach, here is the best place for me.

“This was the best moment for me to join Leicester. I chose them because I think they can grow me and help me mature. [Enzo Maresca] told me about the plans he has for me and how he wants me to play – how he wants to help me in my football.”
