The head coach of Remo Stars FC Daniel Ogunmodede is already playing mind games ahead of their second leg encounter with Medeama SC on Sunday.

The Nigerian outfit will entertain the Ghanaian champions in an epic second leg showdown on Sunday afternoon at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. The sky blue stars come into the game on the deficit of Jonathan Sowah’s 21st minute goal in the first leg played in Cape Coast Stadium.

A 2-0 win for the Coach Daniel Ogunmodede led side will ensure that they advance to the next round of Africa’s top club football competition.

Remo Stars has since returned to Ikenne with preparations for the second leg in top gear.

And ahead of game, trainer says the Ghanaian champions do not deserve qualification to the next phase of competition since they do not have Stadium of their own to compete. Medeama SC due to club licensing requirements could not meet the criteria to host CAF matches at the T&A Stadium in Tarkwa.

Therefore, opted for the Cape Coast Stadium as their alternative.

The match scheduled for Sunday, 27th August 2023 will see continual football return to Ogun State barely a year after it hosted the first in over 30years with kickoff at 4PM Nigerian time but 3pm in Ghana.

Progression for either Remo Stars and Medeama SC mean they would face Horoya AC of Guinea in the next round of qualifiers.
