Black Stars: Three Home-Based Players Earn National Team Call-Ups
Coach Otto Addo has included three local players in his 25 man-squad for the AFCON Qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
There have been suggestions from the Ghanaian football fraternity to include local players in the Black Stars set-up for the last two games of the qualifiers.
Otto Addo has invited Isaac Afful of FC Samartex who was part of the previous squad. Razak Simpson of Nations Football Club and Emmanuel Antwi of Asante Kotoko have also been called.

Isaac Afful earned his debut-call up for Black Stars after putting up great performances in the CAF Champions League for FC Samartex. He has continued his fine form for the Timber Giants this season. The left back has played six games (540 minutes) for Samartex in the Ghana Premier League and has an assist to his name.

Joining Asante Kotoko this season from Great Olympics, Emmanuel Antwi has been exceptional for the Porcupine Warriors. The versatile 24-year-old has featured in all games this season in the GPL. He has a goal in his name.

Razak Simpson has been a rock at the back for Nations FC coupled with ball playing abilities. In his 9 games in the GPL season, the former WAFA player has 6 clean sheets and one MVP award to his name.
