Black Queens Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren Pledges Full Commitment to Team’s Success
Swedish tactician Kim Lars Bjorkegren has vowed to give his utmost effort to ensure success for Ghana’s senior women’s national football team, the Black Queens.
The 43-year-old coach made this commitment during his official unveiling at the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) conference room earlier today.
Bjorkegren, who boasts a wealth of experience in women’s football across Europe and Asia, outlined his vision for the team. He emphasized his intent to build a competitive, disciplined, and tactically sound squad capable of excelling on the African continent and beyond.
“I will do my best to help the Black Queens succeed,” Bjorkegren declared, addressing the media and football stakeholders present at the ceremony.
The Black Queens are set to face Morocco in an international friendly on February 21, 2025, in Casablanca. The match forms part of the team’s preparations for the rescheduled 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July.
The Black Queens are targeting a strong performance at WAFCON 2024 as they seek to end Ghana’s long wait for a continental title.
