Bibiani Gold Stars Reclaim Top Spot with Hard-Fought Win Over Heart of Lions
Bibiani Gold Stars returned to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table after securing a crucial 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions at Dun’s Park on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

They continued to press and were rewarded with a penalty just before halftime. Gideon Anaba stepped up and confidently converted from the spot to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.
Heart of Lions mounted a response in the second half and pulled one back in the 60th minute through Nana Kwame Oppong. The visitors pushed for an equalizer, but Gold Stars held firm in a tense finale to secure all three points.
The victory puts Bibiani Gold Stars two points clear at the top of the table, reaffirming their title ambitions. Meanwhile, Heart of Lions have now suffered back-to-back defeats and will need to bounce back quickly to remain in the title race.
