Accra Hearts of Oak captain and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has issued an emotional appeal to supporters ahead of the team’s final match of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season against champions FC Samartex.

The Phobians are set to round off a turbulent campaign on Sunday, June 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM GMT. After struggling with inconsistency for much of the season, Hearts have recently found improved form, raising hopes of a strong finish.

Speaking ahead of the season finale, Asare—who has been one of Hearts’ most dependable performers this term—thanked the club’s loyal fanbase for their unwavering support and called for one last show of unity.

“To every Hearts of Oak fan, thank you for standing with us through every high and low this season.
As we head into our final game against Samartex, we are not just playing for points, we are playing for pride, for the badge, and for you.
Let’s finish strong, together. See you on Sunday. Let’s make it count,” he said.

A victory over Samartex could see Hearts of Oak secure a top-four finish, salvaging a measure of pride from what has otherwise been a frustrating season for the club and its supporters.
