Bechem United Vow to Bounce Back After Heavy Kotoko Defeat — Mallam Yahaya
Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya has urged calm among the club’s supporters, insisting the team will respond positively after their painful loss to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
The Hunters endured a torrid afternoon on Sunday, conceding six goals without reply against the Porcupine Warriors in their Matchday 16 encounter, a result that marked one of their toughest outings of the season.
Despite the scoreline, Yahaya believes the margin did not fully reflect the balance of play, describing the match as one of those days when everything went wrong for his side.
“Sometimes in football, when you have a bad day, you can do everything, but nothing will happen for you,” he said in his post-match remarks.
The assistant coach stressed that the technical team has already identified areas that need urgent attention as they prepare for the next round of matches.
“I think we have seen the mistakes and we are going back to correct the mistakes so that it won’t happen again,” Yahaya added.
With Bechem United now slipping into the relegation zone at the end of the first round, Yahaya admitted there is significant work ahead, both on and off the pitch.
“We are praying hard to put the team in a good place. We still have to work hard, and we have to beef up the team,” he noted.
As the second round approaches, Bechem United face a crucial period in their campaign, knowing that improved performances and results will be vital in their fight to climb out of the drop zone and secure their top-flight status.
