Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has expressed his satisfaction following his side’s goalless draw with Hearts of Oak in their Ghana Premier League Week 5 fixture played on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The encounter saw both sides put up determined performances but fail to find the back of the net, eventually sharing the spoils in what was a balanced and competitive contest.

Speaking after the match, Coach Hayford praised his players for their discipline and fighting spirit, noting that earning a point against a formidable side like Hearts of Oak was a positive outcome for his team.

“I think we have done very well. It was a tough game, and I think my boys managed them. One point I think is enough. We have played away twice, and we have drawn the last two. We must make amends at home,” said Bashir Hayford.

The experienced tactician further assured fans that the team is focused on converting their recent strong performances into victories, particularly when they return to play in front of their home supporters.

Heart of Lions will next host Bibiani Gold Stars on Monday, October 20, as they aim to register their first home win of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
