Asante Kotoko SC has categorically denied reports linking the club with participation in an international football tournament in Nigeria.

In an official statement released by the club’s Communications Director, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq., management addressed what it called “recent rumors” and urged the public to disregard the claims entirely.

“Management of Asante Kotoko SC would like to address recent rumors suggesting that our club will be participating in an international football tournament in Nigeria. We can confirm that these claims are entirely false and the public should disregard it,” the statement read.

The Porcupine Warriors emphasized that their current focus is solely on completing their remaining fixtures in the Ghana Premier League and preparing for the upcoming FA Cup final.

“Our focus as a club remains on preparations for the remaining league matches as well as the upcoming FA CUP final,” the statement added.

The club also reiterated that any legitimate updates regarding fixtures or tournaments will be communicated through its verified social media platforms.

“Any announcement regarding official fixtures or tournaments will be duly communicated directly through our verified social media channels,” Duku concluded.

The clarification comes amid a flurry of unverified online reports, and Kotoko’s response is aimed at setting the record straight as they continue their domestic campaign.
