Aristica Cioaba Confident Ahead of Bechem United Derby Clash
Head coach of Aduana Stars, Aristica Cioaba, has expressed satisfaction with his team’s preparation and attitude in training ahead of their much-anticipated Week 5 Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United on Sunday, October 13.
The Romanian trainer revealed that his players have shown strong focus and determination throughout the week, raising his confidence for the regional derby.
I’m very happy with what I’m seeing from the players [in training] in the past three days. They are listening, they are not talking too much, they are serious in training, and I’m very confident about Sunday’s game,” Cioaba told Aduana Stars TV.
The experienced coach also acknowledged the intensity of the rivalry between the two Bono-based clubs, recalling last season’s narrow victory over Bechem United.
“Every time people talk about the game, they mention that it’s a derby. Last year I was here and I won 1-0. From what I see from my players this week—their concentration and everything—there is the possibility that we can win the game,” he added.
The clash, which is set to kick off at 3:00 pm at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, promises to be fiercely contested as both sides seek to secure crucial points early in the campaign.
Aduana Stars will be eager to return to winning ways following a narrow defeat to Samartex in their previous outing, while Bechem United are still searching for their first win of the 2025/26 season.
