Antoine Semenyo has been named among the nominees for the February Player of the Month award in the Premier League following an impressive run of performances.

The Ghana international has made a bright start since joining Manchester City, quickly becoming an important attacking option for the reigning title contenders. His early impact in England’s top flight has drawn attention after a series of decisive contributions in front of goal.

Semenyo has already scored five league goals in just seven appearances for City, with three of those strikes coming during the month of February. His scoring run began with a goal in the 2–2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur before finding the net again in victories over Fulham and Leeds United.

The 26-year-old faces stiff competition for the monthly honour. Among the other players shortlisted are his Manchester City teammate Nico O’Reilly, Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres, former teammate and now Brentford forward Dango Ouattara, Manchester United attacker Benjamin Šeško, and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.

Despite being nominated twice earlier in the season, Semenyo is still chasing his first Player of the Month award.

The England-born forward completed a high-profile switch from AFC Bournemouth to Manchester City during the winter transfer window in a deal worth £62.5 million, and his early performances suggest he could play a key role in the club’s push for silverware this season.
