Ampem Darkoa Ladies have shoot themselves into the semi final of the WAFU Zone B Champions League qualifiers after beating Ivorian side Atletico D’Abidjan by 1-3 earlier today at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The ‘Nana Mma’ lads broke the deadlock in just two minutes from kickoff through Mary Amponsah- who is just scoring for fun.
Mary Amponsah doubled her goals and her side’s lead on the 15th minute after tapping in from a close range. Atletico D’Abidjan looked completely off in the game entirely and were left to only chase their own shadows.
On the 28th minute, the Blue and Whites grabbed their third of the night. Who else? Mary Amponsah who connected from Ophelia’s cross from the right to complete her hatrick.
In the second half, the Ghanaian champions picked up from where they left off and took the game under their total control.
They kept dominating in terms of possession, chances creation, attempts and every aspect of the game but looked somehow wasteful upfront With seven minutes to full time, Atletico D’Abidjan scored pulled one as it finished 1-3 after full time.
They now have six points and finished as winners of Group B and are through to the semi final.
