Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has expressed optimism about his chances of breaking into the Black Stars squad in the near future, despite being left out of Ghana’s roster for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The in-form 23-year-old has been one of the standout performers for the Porcupine Warriors this season, having opened his account in the Ghana Premier League and netted twice in Kotoko’s CAF Confederation Cup triumph over Kwara United.

Speaking after Kotoko’s goalless draw with Heart of Lions, Amoah remained positive and showed maturity in his response to being omitted from the national team list.

“I feel okay. I want to congratulate everyone who got called and we are supporting them,” he said. “I know my time will come.”

Amoah, who previously featured for Accra Great Olympics, continues to focus on delivering consistent performances for his club while keeping his dream of donning the national colours alive. His patience and professionalism suggest that his long-awaited opportunity with the Black Stars could be just around the corner.
