African School Games: Ghana’s Ablorh Abdul Rahman Wins Silver in Boxing
Ghana’s Ablorh Abdul Rahman has won a silver medal in the Boys Lightweight (60kg) boxing category at the 1st African School Games in Algeria.
Rahman, who had earlier advanced to the final after a thrilling 3-2 semifinal victory over Namibia’s Leukes Mac-Million, came up against Tunisia’s Bouslimi Adam in the gold medal bout.
Despite a valiant effort and a strong showing throughout the tournament, the Ghanaian boxer fell short in the final, settling for silver after a hard-fought contest.
Rahman’s silver medal marks another proud moment for Team Ghana, adding to the country’s growing medal tally and demonstrating the promise of Ghana’s young boxing talents on the continental stage.
