Aduana Stars Urge Patience Amidst Slow Start to the Season

Aduana Stars Communications Director, Evans Oppong, has called on fans to exercise patience as the club navigates a transitional phase following a significant squad overhaul ahead of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The two-time league champions released 19 players during the offseason, replacing them with fresh recruits, primarily drawn from lower-tier clubs.

According to Oppong, this drastic restructuring has impacted team cohesion and requires time for the new players to adapt.

“Our fans should be calm. We released 19 players and brought in replacements from the lower-tier clubs. Obviously, we are not going to get things as we want immediately,” Oppong stated in an interview with Kessben FM.

He emphasized that while the rebuilding process has been challenging, the club is committed to ensuring that the new players integrate and perform at their best.

“The players are new and will require time to settle at the club. With time, things will get better for us in the Ghana Premier League,” he added.

Aduana Stars have experienced a mixed start to the season as they occupy the 13th position with 11 points. Meanwhile, the club will announce a new head coach after Yaw Acheampong was shown the exit door.
