Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has voiced his frustration following his side’s narrow loss to Karela United in the Ghana Premier League, describing the result as a painful setback in what had been an impressive home campaign.

The “Still Believe” side welcomed Karela to the Tuba AstroTurf for their Matchday 22 fixture but suffered a 1-0 defeat, their first home loss of the 2025/26 season, after conceding late in the contest.

Reflecting on the outcome, Dormon admitted the result was far from what his team had anticipated, especially after growing into the match and creating opportunities.

“It’s very unfortunate, very disappointing because this is not the kind of result we were expecting. We started the game very slowly, but we grew confident in the game. At the break, we came in and opened them up to create some chances,” the Dreams FC coach told journalists.

The tactician felt his side were unlucky to concede against the run of play and stressed the need for an immediate response as the season enters a critical phase.

“It’s unfortunate that against the run of play they broke and they managed to score. It is football. We need to pick ourselves up and make sure we respond against Nations FC, which will also be a difficult game,” he added.

Dreams FC will now shift focus to their next outing away to Nations FC in Abrankese, as they seek to bounce back and regain momentum in their league campaign.
