Vision FC and Accra Hearts of Oak played out an engaging 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown, as Round 27 of the Ghana Premier League delivered yet another fierce contest.

The Phobians took the lead in the 38th minute through defender Kelvin Osei Asibey, who rose highest to meet a well-delivered set-piece and powered his header past the Vision FC goalkeeper. The goal gave Hearts of Oak a slender edge going into halftime, capping off a largely even first half.

But Vision FC were quick to respond after the break. Just three minutes into the second half, Meschack Sowah Adjetey capitalized on a lapse in the Hearts defense to level the score with a calm, precise finish—rewarding the home side’s early second-half intensity.

Buoyed by the equalizer, Vision FC ramped up the pressure and took control of the midfield. Their energy and pressing began to unsettle Hearts, and they came close to snatching the lead in the 60th minute when substitute Emmanuel Akansase broke through on goal. His low strike, however, skimmed the post and rolled agonizingly wide.

The game remained lively, with both sides pushing for a winner, but neither could find the finishing touch in a tense closing stretch.

Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, continue to struggle on the road. The result extends their winless run away from home to six matches—an issue that could prove costly as they fight to remain in the top four.

With this result, both teams maintain their respective mid-table positions, but with plenty left to play for in the final stretch of the season.
