Ghana international Stella Nyamekye has taken the next step in her European journey after completing a permanent transfer to Norwegian top-flight outfit SK Brann Kvinner.

The 20-year-old midfielder joins the Bergen-based club from Gotham FC, signing a two-year agreement that will keep her at Brann until 2028.

Nyamekye’s move comes after a challenging spell in the United States. Following her return to Gotham FC earlier this year, she had previously spent time on loan at Fort Lauderdale United FC, where limited playing opportunities restricted her impact.

Her decision to head to Norway reflects a desire for stability and growth at a club competing at the highest level domestically and in Europe.

“I chose Brann because I believe in the project, and it will give me the best opportunity for my development and playing experience,” Nyamekye said.

“Brann is a great team that is fighting for several titles.

“I am a player with good overview, good ball control, and I am creative in the final third. I can also contribute by both scoring goals myself and setting up chances for my teammates.”

The former Dreamz Ladies captain arrives in Norway with growing international pedigree. Currently part of Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, Nyamekye recently found the net in their emphatic 4-0 victory over Russia at the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup.

Since making her debut for Ghana, she has scored twice for the national side, steadily building her influence within the squad.

With a long-term contract secured and regular football in sight, Nyamekye’s switch to Brann signals a fresh chapter — one aimed at sharpening her development while competing for major honours.
