Otto Addo has introduced four new faces to the Ghana national football team squad for this month’s high-profile international friendlies against Austria national football team and Germany national football team.

The Black Stars coach has included Derrick Luckassen, Patrick Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya, and Daniel Agyei in his 26-man squad as Ghana begins preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Luckassen, a centre-back currently playing for Pafos FC in Cyprus, has built a well-travelled career across Europe. The defender developed through the academy of AZ Alkmaar and has featured for clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Hertha BSC, R.S.C. Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa S.K., Fatih Karagümrük S.K. and Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C.. He recently helped Pafos claim the 2024–25 Cypriot league title and scored the club’s first-ever goal in the Champions League.

Senaya, who plays for French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre, also receives his first call-up. The defender previously spent time with RC Strasbourg Alsace, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and FC Lausanne-Sport, making his professional debut in 2021.

Forward Daniel Agyei, currently with Turkish club Kocaelispor, also earns a maiden invitation. Born in England, the versatile attacker previously played for Leyton Orient F.C., Crewe Alexandra F.C., Oxford United F.C. and Burnley F.C. before moving to Turkey.

Another debutant, centre-back Patrick Pfeiffer, represents SV Darmstadt 98 in Germany’s second tier and strengthens Ghana’s defensive options.

The squad also sees the return of several experienced players, including Iñaki Williams, Ibrahim Sulemana, Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku.
