Karim Zito reveals reason for Dreams FC’s defeat to Kotoko
Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito has expressed frustration over his team’s inability to capitalize on key moments in their narrow 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Zito noted that his players were initially overwhelmed by the stature of their opponents, which affected their performance in the first half.
“My players had too much respect for Kotoko,” Zito lamented. “After the first half, I spoke to them, and things changed. We created chances, but I just can’t believe why my players couldn’t shoot.”
The Still Believe lads have struggled to find their rhythm this season and currently sit in the relegation zone. With 12 points from 14 matches, they occupy 17th place on the league table.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, continued their steady campaign, moving up to 5th place on the standings with 24 points after 14 matches.
