Odartey Lamptey Readies Eleven Wonders for Tough Hearts of Oak Test
Eleven Wonders head coach Nii Odartey Lamptey has admitted that his side faces a daunting challenge as they prepare to take on Accra Hearts of Oak in a Week 3 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
Speaking at his pre-match press briefing, the former Ghana international described the encounter as a significant hurdle for his young team.
“Playing against Accra Hearts of Oak is a big task, but then we will motivate the boys to be able to give their best to the team against Hearts of Oak tomorrow,” Lamptey said, stressing the importance of instilling confidence and belief in his players ahead of the game.
While acknowledging the pedigree of the Phobians, Lamptey revealed that his technical team had carefully studied their recent matches, noting that he had identified potential weaknesses that could be exploited.
The clash will be one of Eleven Wonders’ sternest tests early in the campaign as they come up against a Hearts of Oak side guided by seasoned coach Didi Dramani, who is determined to restore consistency to the capital club.
For Lamptey, Friday’s showdown is as much about respect for his illustrious opponents as it is about showing that his team has the resilience and tactical edge to compete at the highest level.
Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium, with both teams eyeing vital points to build momentum in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
