“My family cries when we lose”- Otto Addo
Ghana coach Otto Addo has revealed the emotional strain his family goes through when the Black Stars loses a game.
The Black Stars lost 2-1 to Niger in the last round of games of the AFCON qualifiers; marking a winless Black Stars in the AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking candidly during a press briefing, Addo admitted that the disappointment runs deeper than football, affecting his personal life as well.
“This affects me too. I am very, very sad because when I go home to my family, I see them crying,” he said. “I don’t even want to go home. So, I know how Ghanaians are feeling.” He added.
Ghana have failed to qualify for the AFCON for the first time in 20 years and would not turn their attention to the World Cup qualifiers.
