French Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC has officially announced the departure of Ghana international Andre Ayew following the expiration of his contract.

The 35-year-old initially joined the club in November 2023 as a free agent after parting ways with English Premier League side Nottingham Forest. He made a crucial impact in helping Le Havre secure top-flight survival in the 2023/24 season.

Ayew returned to Le Havre for a second stint in October 2024, signing a one-year deal after a brief period without a club. However, ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 French football season, the club has confirmed his exit.

In a statement, Le Havre paid tribute to the former Ghana captain, saying:

“Thank you, André. Monster of combativeness, André Ayew was an example for all heaven and navy, he who so well understood the HAC and its audience, Le Havre and its inhabitants. Good luck, André!”

During his time at the club, Ayew made 49 appearances and scored nine goals, leaving a notable impression with his leadership and fighting spirit on the pitch.

Now a free agent, Andre Ayew is expected to weigh up options for what could be the tenth club in his professional football journey.
