Kwesi Asmah Urges Hearts of Oak Teammates to Stay Focused Ahead of Super Clash Against Kotoko
Hearts of Oak defender Kwesi Asmah has rallied his teammates to put recent disappointments behind them and focus on securing victory in the much-anticipated Super Clash against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
The two giants of Ghanaian football will lock horns at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 4, in a decisive Matchweek 28 fixture of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Phobians go into the game in dire need of a win after enduring a difficult spell of form—managing just one victory in their last eight league matches.
Despite the team’s recent struggles, Asmah remains optimistic and has urged his colleagues to stay focused and approach the game with a positive mindset.
“We are very much prepared, and we are looking forward to the game,” Asmah told Hearts TV.
“When you come to the training grounds, you can see we are all ready. We haven’t been happy with recent results, but we have to take it game by game and leave that one behind us.”
The Super Clash, one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures in Ghanaian football, is set to kick off at 3:00 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium. With both teams still chasing top-four ambitions, Sunday’s encounter is expected to be fiercely contested.
