Kwasi Appiah Ready to Support Black Stars’ Qualification Efforts
Sudan national team coach Kwasi Appiah has expressed his willingness to support Ghana’s senior national team in their quest for success, emphasizing his commitment to the country’s football development.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025 earmarked to be staged in Morocco after a run of poor results.
However, Ghana who are second in their group for the World Cup qualifiers are in contention to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Speaking in an interview, Appiah lauded the talent within the current squad and pledged to assist in any way possible to help the team achieve its goals.
“If you look at the current players, they are good, so with any form of assistance, I will be there to support and ensure the team qualifies because, at the end of the day, it is about Ghana and not anybody,” he told Asempa FM.
Kwasi Appiah’s tenure as Black Stars coach included leading Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Ghana will resume the World Cup qualifiers in March 2025 when they take on Chad.
