President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and CAF 2nd Vice President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has reaffirmed that Otto Addo will continue as head coach of the Black Stars, emphasizing that the former Ghana international has earned the right to lead the team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Okraku made it clear that Addo remains the man in charge after successfully guiding Ghana through the World Cup qualification campaign.

“Otto Addo is our coach — he’s the one who qualified Ghana for the World Cup, and he’s the one taking us there again,” he stated.

The confirmation puts to rest ongoing speculation about a potential coaching change ahead of the global tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Under Addo’s leadership, Ghana secured qualification after a hard-fought campaign, finishing strong in the decisive matches. The coach, who previously led the team to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has been praised for his tactical discipline and ability to build team cohesion.

Okraku’s remarks reflect the GFA’s confidence in maintaining stability and continuity within the national team setup as preparations intensify for next year’s tournament.
