Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku and Black Stars Management Committee Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah have paid a visit to Alidu Seidu, who is currently recovering from a long-term injury.

The Stade Rennes right-back suffered a serious ACL injury during a Ligue 1 clash against Lille, ruling him out for the rest of the season. Seidu landed awkwardly during the match, leading to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

Following a successful surgery in December, the 23-year-old is now undergoing rehabilitation. As part of the GFA’s commitment to player welfare, Okraku and Appiah visited the Black Stars defender to show support and check on his recovery progress.

Seidu, who made his debut for Ghana in 2022, has since earned 20 caps and scored one international goal. Unfortunately, his injury means he will be unavailable for Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March.

The visit by the GFA officials underscores the importance of maintaining strong connections with national team players, even when they are sidelined due to injuries.
