Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has unveiled his squad for the decisive second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash with Nigerian side Kwara United.

The Porcupine Warriors travel to Abeokuta with a 20-man group as they seek to defend their narrow 4-3 lead from the pulsating first-leg encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium. The return fixture will be staged at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium on Sunday evening.

Goalkeepers Aziz Haruna Dari and Mohammed Gamara are both in contention, while the defensive line features Joseph Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, Musa Hamzata, Zackaria Fuseini, Samba O’Neil, Ansu Henry, Joseph Ablorh, and Lord Amoah.

In midfield, Zito has called upon Seth Kwadwo, Lord Hillary Adabo, Gyau Hubert, Emmanuel Antwi, Fuseini Walid Neymar, Amoh Philip, Listowel Hinneh, and Amidu Peter to provide balance between creativity and defensive cover.

Up front, Donzo Morifing and Albert Amoah have been tasked with leading the attack, with Kotoko needing goals to ease the pressure of playing away from home.

The Ghanaian giants, however, will have to tighten up at the back after conceding three times in Accra, with Kwara United showing their attacking threat and ability to fight back.

A win or draw will be enough to see Kotoko through to the next stage of the competition, but Kwara United, buoyed by home advantage, will be hopeful of overturning the deficit.

The high-stakes contest kicks off on Sunday at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium, with a place in the final qualification round on the line.
