Kamaldeen Sulemana Shines with Goal and Assist in Atalanta’s Win Over Torino
Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana announced himself in Serie A in style on Sunday, scoring his debut goal and adding an assist as Atalanta BC cruised to a 3-0 victory over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.
The 23-year-old delivered a performance worthy of the Man of the Match accolade, inspiring the Bergamo outfit to another statement win in the Italian top-flight.
Atalanta took the lead in the 30th minute when Montenegrin striker Nikola Krstovic finished off a neat pass from Serbian midfielder Lazar Samardzic.
Four minutes later, Sulemana reacted sharply to a loose ball in the penalty area, slotting home with precision to double his side’s advantage and register his first goal since his summer move to Italy.
The Ghanaian wasn’t done yet. Before halftime, he turned creator, supplying the assist for Krstovic’s second goal, which effectively killed off Torino’s hopes of a comeback.
Sulemana’s pace, flair, and direct attacking play caused constant problems for the Torino defense, underlining why Atalanta secured his services in the transfer window.
