Captain of the Ghana national football team, Jordan Ayew, has urged the nation to believe in the team’s chances of making a memorable impact at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Leicester City forward delivered the message during an interview with Asempa FM, encouraging Ghanaians to begin imagining a successful campaign for the Black Stars at the global showpiece.

According to Ayew, the squad possesses the quality needed to compete strongly, but collective belief from both the team and supporters will be vital as Ghana prepares for the tournament to be staged across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

“We should start dreaming and go as far as we can,” Ayew stated. “Winning is important, but we also need a bit of luck”.

The experienced attacker believes that with determination, unity, and the right mindset, the Black Stars can aim for a historic run when the competition kicks off.
