Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has made clear his ambition for the club to assert control in every match during the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The reigning champions began their title defense on a strong note last Sunday, putting in a commanding display against league debutants Young Apostles to record a 2-0 victory. The performance reflected Tanko’s tactical blueprint, which he says is built around possession and dictating play.

“We always want to have the ball. We want to dictate the play. This is what we worked for throughout preseason, and I think it will work for us,” Tanko told Medi TV ahead of his side’s Week 2 fixture.

The coach also expressed confidence about their upcoming clash with Vision FC, stressing that Medeama will be aiming to build momentum with back-to-back wins.

“We are very ready. The team in our last game fought together to get the three points. We are coming home, and the supporters should come in their numbers. They are going to see good football, and hopefully, we will get the three points. That’s the plan,” he added.

Medeama will host Vision FC in Tarkwa this weekend as they continue their quest to retain the league crown.
