Heart of Lions Dominate Legon Cities with Resounding 3-0 Victory

Heart of Lions extended their unbeaten streak to five games with a commanding 3-0 win over Legon Cities at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The victory propelled Lions to third place in the league standings, reinforcing their impressive form this season.

The Lions started strong, taking control early and finding the breakthrough in the 22nd minute. Kojo Obeng Junior opened the scoring with a composed finish, setting the tone for what would become a dominant performance.

After the break,  Mustapha Yakubu doubled the lead in the 61st minute with a precise strike, capitalizing on Legon Cities’ defensive lapses. Just five minutes later, Nana Oppong put the game beyond reach, firing in a well-taken goal to make it 3-0.

At the other end, goalkeeper Lawrence Osei was rock-solid, making five crucial saves to secure a clean sheet.
