GPL: Paa Kwesi Fabin reveals secret for Kotoko win
Legon Cities head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin has revealed what propelled his team to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko in an outstanding league game.
The Royals tamed the Porcupine Warriors at the University of Ghana sports stadium when they won 2-1.
Albert Yeboah scored first for Legon Cities before Kotoko’s Albert Amoah restored parity. However, Abdul Rahman gave Legon Cities the maximum points after scoring in the dying embers of the game.
The win was Legon Cities first victory of the season after having just two points in seven games.
Speaking after the game, gaffer for Legon Cities, Paa Kwesi Fabin says their position on the league log before the game motivated them to beat Asante Kotoko. He also added that, Legon Cities have a new team and it will take some time for the players to jell.
“We are a work in progress. We are building a completely new team so it will take time before the team jells. So I told them(players) to utilize this game to kick start our victories of the season and they showed commitment till the end.” He said.
Legon Cities occupy the 17th position on the league table with five points. They will lock horns with newbies, Young Apostles on Monday 4th November 2024 for their next fixture.
