Golden Kick chairman Joseph Kobina Epson has expressed strong confidence in his team’s ability to win the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup, regardless of which opponent awaits them in the final.

The Division One League Zone Three side has been one of the surprise packages in this season’s tournament, knocking out Ghana Premier League heavyweights such as Hearts of Oak and Karela United to earn a spot in the semifinals.

Ahead of their crucial semifinal tie against Attram De Visser at the TNA Stadium on Saturday, May 10, Epson believes his team has what it takes to go all the way.

Speaking to Asempa FM, Epson stated:
“We’re not afraid to face any team in the final. We’ve already met two Premier League clubs. One of them is Hearts of Oak, who are one of the best teams in Ghana. If we could beat Hearts of Oak, it would be no news if we beat Kotoko or Berekum Chelsea.”

Golden Kick’s impressive FA Cup run has seen them play five matches, scoring four goals and keeping four clean sheets in the process—an indication of the team’s strong defensive discipline and tactical organisation.

Their semifinal opponents, Attram De Visser, are also enjoying a solid campaign in the competition. The Academy side has scored five goals and conceded three, notably eliminating top-flight side Bibiani Gold Stars in the Round of 16.

As anticipation builds toward Saturday’s showdown, both teams will be eyeing a place in the grand finale, where they could meet the winner of the other semifinal clash between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
