Head Coach for the Palancas Negras of Angola, Pedro Goncalves believes it will be difficult for the Black Stars of Ghana to qualify for the AFCON 2025.

The Black Stars of Ghana will lock horns with Angola at the  Estádio 11 de Novembro on Friday 15th November 2024.

The Black Stars are currently third in Group F with just 2 points after four games and are on the verge of not qualifying if they don’t win even one of the games remaining. Meanwhile, Angoal are on top of Group F.

Speaking ahead of the clash, the Portuguese says Ghana has the quality of players,

“For us, playing against Ghana is always special. Ghana is one of the best countries in African football, with wonderful players, especially in midfield and attack.” He said.

However, he believes Ghana’s chances of qualifying to the African Cup of Nations in Morocco next year is very low.

“Ghana is certainly a top contender, but I feel that, at the moment, their chances of qualifying are very low. It doesn’t only depend on them but also on Sudan, who just need a point from two matches to qualify. So, it will be a very difficult task for Ghana.” He told ghanasportspage.

The Black Stars will jet off to Luanda, Angola today for the clash.
