Ghana Set to Host Inaugural WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Tournament

The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram has been confirmed as the venue for the maiden edition of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls tournament, scheduled to take place from December 12 to 26, 2024.

This historic tournament will feature seven teams: Ghana’s Black Maidens, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo.

The competition provides a platform for young players to showcase their skills, foster teamwork, and gain valuable experience ahead of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The event marks a significant milestone for women’s football development in the region, as WAFU Zone B continues to invest in nurturing future stars of the game.
