Ghana has maintained its 76th position in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

The Black Stars, who moved up one spot in the previous update, held their ground following recent performances during the 2025 Unity Cup held in London. Despite showing flashes of improvement, the team’s overall results were not enough to influence their global standing.

During the Unity Cup, Ghana suffered a defeat to Nigeria in the semifinal but bounced back to secure third place with a win over Trinidad and Tobago. The mixed results ensured no significant movement in the rankings.

On the continental front, Ghana also remains unmoved, holding 14th place among African nations. The unchanged position highlights the team’s consistent but unspectacular form on the international stage.

With more fixtures lined up later in the year, head coach Otto Addo is hopeful that the team can build momentum and climb higher in the standings.

Improving Ghana’s ranking will be key to boosting the team’s seeding for future international competitions, and the technical team is expected to intensify preparations as they eye upcoming qualifiers and friendlies.
